Text Box: UNWORTHY

When I was young I gave my best to someone unworthy of my love and trust
We played around and wound up forever entwined, too young for marriage but old enough for lust
Heartache, tears and breakups every other day
My once in a lifetime, my once and forever often caused confusion, delusions and lies
My son took my side and carried me home to a place where love, life and laughter still could be found
Just the two of us facing the world, God on our side, I had my little guy
Life was perfect and I never asked for more, I was achieving my goals, parenting and thriving
Then one day a second chance arrived, a handsome, loving caring and unselfish man
My heart in awe, my eyes amazed, my stomach with butterflies, my mind in a daze
We dated for years, we laughed so often, I couldn't believe I could still have a forever after
My son and I against the world had a warrior to defend our honor, gave us clothes and shelter
One day on his knee he promised to love us, build a home, hold my hand, listen to my every word, cry and touch
He loved me so much but he loved another because he loved my son and my son's mother!
He promised his heart, his love, his life
22 years later and I am still his wife
This love story is true, real and exists because you see I am the woman he loves so much
